With his finger on the pulse of technology and consumer electronics, Jon Cohen has been breaking, fixing and enjoying technology since childhood. His father often recounts the story of how Jon loved to unplug and replug RCA cables from the back of the TV as a toddler. These days Jon contributes as a tech journalist and correspondent to SiriusXM and Rogers Media, and as a photographer. If you're anything like me, you've probably spent a fair amount of time searching for lost items around the house or office. Keys, wallets, and phones are the most common culprits, but the list goes on and on. But what if I told you that there's a solution that can help you find all of those items in a matter of seconds? Enter the eufy Security SmartTrack Card.


The eufy Security SmartTrack Card is a tiny, ultra-thin device that fits comfortably in your wallet or in your passport holder or other belongings. When you lose one of those items, simply open the Find My app on an iPhone or the eufy Security app on an Adroid smartphone and it will ring the eufy Security SmartTrack Card. The card will then emit a loud, distinctive ring that will help you locate your lost item in no time.


But the eufy Security SmartTrack Card isn't just a passive beeper. You can also use the Apple Find My app to see the last known location of your card on a map and it works worldwide. This is especially handy if you've left your phone behind and need to remember where you had it last. The card also has a reverse-tracking feature with the eufy Security app, which will make your phone ring even if it's on silent mode. This is incredibly useful if you misplace your phone and can't find it, no matter how hard you search.


What makes the eufy Security SmartTrack Card stand out from the competition is its sleek design. Unlike bulkier trackers, the eufy Security SmartTrack Card is only 2.4mm thick, making it easy to carry in your wallet or stick to other items with the provided metal clip. Based on this size it can be used in many different scenarios including as a tracker for your luggage.


Of course the eufy Security SmartTrack Card is not the only tracker in the marketplace that works with the Apple Find My network, and while some of the other cards feature a replaceable battery, the eufy Security SmartTrack Card does not. It was a trade off to get a smaller thickness for the card and it makes sense to me. eufy states that the battery will last up to 3 years.


The smart tracker market has grown a lot over the last few years and I assume it will continue to grow in years to come. In my testing to date the eufy Security SmartTrack Card is one of the best devices I have used and at a sub-$30.00 price point I would recommend it for everyone.
