A bit About Me

With his finger on the pulse of technology and consumer electronics, Jon Cohen has been breaking, fixing and enjoying technology since childhood. His father often recounts the story of how Jon loved to unplug and replug RCA cables from the back of the TV as a toddler. These days Jon contributes as a tech journalist and correspondent to SiriusXM and Rogers Media, and as a photographer. Jon uses his years of knowledge working in consumer electronics to write and inspire his “What the Tech?” column.

Anker is known for its high quality products and the 735 (Nano II) does not disappoint. Regardless if you are using this for your computer, tablet or phone the Anker 735 just delivers!


It features a 65w GaN power output that is able to charge one device or up to three at the same time. I think it is a great accessory to have in your travel bag as it offers a small footprint and a whole lot of versatility. The charger offers 2 USB-C ports and a USB-A port (legacy devices). With the three ports, you can choose to charge you MacBook Pro, your MacBook Air or just another USB-C notebook. If you want to charge multiple devices at ones that is not an issue as the Anker 735 has smart technology built-in that will adapt the power output per port. Allowing the 65w to be shared via 2 or 3 ports simultaneously. As well this charger features tech that will prevent overcharging of your devices so you can rest assured that you will not damage the computer, tablet or phone.


Of note, the Anker 735 (Nano II) is around 50%-60% small in size then the charger provided to me from Apple and because it offers GaN (Gallium nitride) you know you are getting the best and fastest charge you can get.


Priced right around $60.00, the Anker 735 (Nano II) would be a highly recommended purchase for anyone regardless of the brand of computer, tablet, phone they own.
